I had the pleasure of working with such a fun a sweet family and their ADORABLE princess Ella Grace from Andrews, Texas.
Ella was not in her best mood due to some teeth coming in but we did our best and put our silly faces on and went to town attempting to catch Miss Ella's precious smiles. She did not give up too many but thats OK I think we got some pretty cute pictures.
Thank you so much- Katie, Cody, and Ella!!

Ashleigh W. Johnson with AWJ Photography- Lubbock, TX
I was approached by one of my good friends who also happens to be a fellow photographer. She needed some new headshots for her website and I was more than willing to help her out. We also got to go location "shopping" and hunt out new locations.
Here are my favorites from her session:

Im a true BLOG slacker....
I do not know why I have such a hard time keeping up with this... oh yes I do. I'm so BUSY! I love every moment of everything I do. I love meeting new and old clients to collect deposits and sign contracts. Then I love getting a million texts to confirm the location-- at all hours :) Then I love the actual session; this is probably my FAV part. Then its time for hours of editing.... then posting sneaks on FB, then resize for website, then the ordering process, then the CD if purchased, then we meet again-- delivering prints and the CD. Its a process of which I have nailed down that takes about 2-3 weeks to complete.
I love that what I do is capture moments for families and kiddos and babies (you name it)... does it seem like it would get old? Because it definitely DOES NOT! Every session is different in its own way. Making a fool of myself for those kiddos to helping the adults pose in a natural but appealing way-- NEVER gets old. I've been asked many times what do I prefer to shoot. My answer is this... depends on the day! Sometimes I am in a desperate need for a new born baby fix... but newborns are VERY hard to work with but I love snuggling them and loving on them for the few hours that I have been blessed with. Then theres my most typical clients... my rowdy tots and kiddos. I love them. I can't get enough of them, even with one of my own. I love their different personalities and I love watching their parents interact with them and pleading, bribing, and begging them to smile at the camera and also make a fool of themselves as we go :) LOVE IT. But with that comes lots of chasing, up and down off the ground, and lots of redirection to get their little brains focused on what I want them to do--without moving (HA!) But then there's the adults that are worried about their "double chin", "baby rolls", "love handles", blemishes, etc. I get, "Well can you hide this and that and remove this and give me this?"..... I AM A DIGITAL PLASTIC SURGEON! Yes, I retouch most every client, but these adults.... they are worried about some funny things. I giggle every time I edit an adult session wether that be a bridal, engagement, couple, or just a portrait session.
I would not trade what I am doing for anything. Being busy has blessed Brooklyn and I. I hope to continue to be blessed and bless others. Spring is around the corner and I am booking fast. Visit www.JRNphoto.com for available dates. I look forward to meeting new clients and capturing my repeat clients and those very loyal JRN photography peeps :)
Here are some recent clients, I have yet FAILED to blog.

2 for 1
I have been failing on the blog front. I am a busy busy and BUSY momma/student/photographer. :)
Sooooo I will blog Mr. Ayden and Miss Brynlee's 1st Bday Party together!!
I have had the joy of photographing Ayden 2 times before this. I have done his 3 month pics and his 6 month pics. I can not believe he's 9 months! And now we are talking about his 1st bday party. WOW time flies and I am blessed with so many great clients that allow me to continue to be blessed with photographing them and their precious children as they grow! I couldn't as for a better "JOB"! Here are MY favs from Ayden's session. It was a cold chilly day so he was definitely a little trooper.
I hope everyone enjoys reading my few and far between blog posts. I will attempt to keep up with my hectic life on here a little more. (no guarentees :))

So now for Miss Brynlee! I have also photographed her 2 times before. I first met Mendi, Dr. Border, and their precious little Brynlee at my Pumpkin Mini's through another client. I must add that word of mouth is the biggest contributor to JRN photography's success!! And I appreciate all the referrals everyone sends my way. Anyways, the second time I had the pleasure of photographing Miss Brynlee was at my Santa Mini's and poor Bryn wasn't so sure about Santa but I think we got some precious shots.
When Mendi and Kenny approached me about coming to Shallowater to photograph Brynlee's 1st Birthday Party I was definitely honored. I love capturing BIG moments in families lives and what better than Miss Brynlee's PARTY!! I arrived early while Brynlee was napping and got some detail shots then soon party goers arrived. I snagged Brynlee and the family away and we went outside for a few pics of them and then the party began. She was so adorable in both her EXTRA fab outfits. Mendi has great taste and is very creative. Here are a few of my favs from Brynlee's Party!
